The surrounding area has ample holiday pursuits, including walking, sailing and golf, and with the rivers Dwyfor and Dwyfach each flowing to the sea on the boundary of the farm. The properties are only 500 yards from the main coast road. Horse riding nearby. Ideal for golf. Shops, pubs and the sheltered sandy beach of Criccieth is only 11/2 miles away.

The owners were extremely kind. The highlight was our children being invited to feed the lambs and loved it. Very close to lovely places.

We have stayed at Aberkin two years running and have booked again for 2016 so it would be fair to say that we like the place! For us the main benefit is the number of bedrooms and the fact that there is a double bedroom on the ground floor. That means that the grandparents (us!) can have the ground floor bedroom, leaving the whole of the first floor for the children and grandchildren to spread themselves out. There is lots to do for families in the area, including castles, narrow-gauge railways and farm-parks, without having to travel miles. There is good walking too if the weather is good. We found a family-friendly café in Criccieth which was not too expensive for a meal for seven, and the local chippy isn't bad either!

We had a fantastic time at Aberkin Farmhouse, with our son's family and our daughter's family. The setting was perfect for children too, and easily accessible to everywhere. We also found the owners extremely helpful, kind and couldn't do enough to help, so all in all we would give the highest possible score for our stay.
