Ladstock Hall was a very grand country house hotel, a renowned venue for weddings, it has now been converted into several apartments and cottages the standard of which is excellent.No 7 is a split level apartment furnished and equipped throughout to appeal to the most discerning guests. Thornthwaite lies 3 miles to the west of Keswick at the foot of Whinlatter and close to Bassenthwaite Lake.This area is great for mountain biking in Whinlatter Forest, and walking on the surrounding fells and sailing or fishing on the lake. There is a bridle way immediately behind Ladstock Hall where you can walk to Braithwaite, a little over half a mile, which has a village shop, restaurant and 2 pubs each serving good food and real ale.The high ceilings in number 7 make for a lovely spacious living area, the comfy italian leather sofas and column radiators give it a special feel and the dining table overlooks the Skiddaw range.
