2 Seed Howe Cottages is a beautiful example of a successful cottage restoration within the traditional village of Staveley and now ticks all the boxes that our discerning guests have come to expect from our quality self catering home from homes. The village has thrived since its bypass several years ago and is a great place for a first or returning visit to the Lakes. The Kentmere Valley offers great walking opportunities for all abilities and those cyclists among you can even hire on a daily or weekly basis from Wheelbase, one of the UK’s leading specialists. Of course, the more popular resorts of Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside are well within reach either by car, Stagecoach Bus or rail, Staveley offering a regular service into Windermere, ideal for a day’s sightseeing.
A fine wood burning stove sits proudly against the back drop of an ancient exposed wall here at 2 Seed Howe Cottages, the flagged floors and large exposed trusses, stripped and oiled to perfection reminders of a bygone era when the owner’s great grandparents lived in this unassuming mid terrace. Quality fixtures and fittings have been carefully chosen and placed to ensure your comfort, the outside spaces having been equally attended to by way of some lovely modern decking within a private patio area.
