The idyllic rolling countryside hosts many golf courses, including the world class Ryder Cup Celtic Manor in Newport, the Rolls of Monmouth and St Pierre in Chepstow. Finally, there are racecourses at Cheltenham and Chepstow.

    There are numerous family attractions within a short drive such as the Hedge Maze, Butterfly Farm and crazy golf near Ross-on-Wye, river cruises and canoeing at Symonds Yat, as well as Perrygrove Steam Railway, Puzzlewood and Go Ape in the Forest of Dean.
